Fair Play Philosophy

A message from North Shore Minor Lacrosse Association to all North Shore coaches, assistant coaches, managers and parents:

As we enter another season of minor lacrosse on the North Shore, I'd like to thank all of you for taking on your respective roles. It is my duty however, to remind all of you of the responsibilities we have to our players, our association, our officials, and our sport.

As President, I am ultimately responsible for the conduct of our volunteers. As such, I would like to remind everyone of what is expected of us. Abusive and/or inappropriate behavior, towards players or officials cannot be tolerated. It is imperative each and every one of us follows the C.L.A. Fair Play Philosophy. I appreciate that we are all volunteers but ultimately it has to be about the kids, and putting their interests first. I wish all of you the best for this coming season and I appreciate all of your dedication and efforts.

Criminal Record Checks

Attention NSMLA coaches:

Criminal record checks are required for all our association's coaches and assistant coaches. Simply visit the RCMP detachment in North Vancouver or the West Vancouver Police if residing in West Van with the letter below and complete the necessary paper work. The CRC's are valid for 3 years, so if you have not had one done in the past 3 years for NSMLA, they are require before the season starts.

Coaches are to ensure their assistant coaches have also complete the CRCs. Completed CRC's are to be mailed by the police to the following address:

NSMLA, 4240 Ranger Crescent, North Vancouver, BC, V7R 3K9
